To consider an application for a Premises Licence by Lia Rutter in respect of Bargain Booze, 7 Thornton Square, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 7XZ. Additional documents:
Minutes: The Sub-Committee considered a report regarding an application for a Premises Licence for Bargain Booze, 7 Thornton Square, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 7XZ.
Prior to the start of the hearing, the Licensing Lawyer drew Members’ attention to the fact that the requirement to place pale blue notices at or near the premises for not less than 28 consecutive days may not have been fully complied with (as set out in paragraph 10.7 of the report). Members agreed that the relevant regulations had been substantially complied with, and that the process was valid.
The following attended the hearing and made representations with respect to the application:
· the applicant · two representatives of the applicant · three local residents · a representative of local residents
After a full hearing of the application and in accordance with the rules of procedure, the Chairman of the Sub-Committee reported that, after taking account of:
· The Secretary of State’s Guidance under section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003 · Cheshire East Borough Council’s Statement of Licensing Policy · The four licensing objectives (namely the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance, and the protection of children from harm) · All the evidence, including the oral representations made at the meeting and the written representations of interested parties, the following course of action had been agreed:
RESOLVED - That the application for a premises licence be granted as applied for and subject to those conditions consistent with the applicant’s operating schedule in accordance with Section 18(2) Licensing Act 2003 and as set out in appendix 1 to the report. |
