Issue details

To extend access to Residents Off-Street Parking Permit Schemes (in accordance with the H & T Committee decision from 25/1/24), noting that;

o   The criteria for residents to be eligible for a Residents Parking Permit are unchanged by this decision, remaining as stated on the Councils webpages.

o   For Residents Permit Schemes in the (former) “free towns”, all properties within 150 metres of each car park, where charges are to be implemented, will be able to apply for a permit.

o   All applications will be assessed to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, before a permit is issued. 

To authorise the Parking Team to make all necessary arrangements to administer permits in accordance with the scheme criteria.
