Public Speaking Time/Open Session In accordance with Procedure Rules Nos.11 and 35 a period of 10 minutes is allocated for members of the public to address the meeting on any matter relevant to the work of the body in question. Individual members of the public may speak for up to 5 minutes but the Chairman or person presiding will decide how the period of time allocated for public speaking will be apportioned where there are a number of speakers. Members of the public are not required to give notice to use this facility. However, as a matter of courtesy, a period of 24 hours’ notice is encouraged.
Members of the public wishing to ask a question at the meeting should provide at least three clear working days’ notice in writing and should include the question with that notice. This will enable an informed answer to be given.

Roundabout Sponsorship Trial To consider a pilot for sponsorship on selected roundabouts across the Borough. Decision: 1. That approval be given to the proposed pilot for roundabout sponsorship. 2. That the Corporate Manager Commissioning Waste and Environmental Services be authorised to take all necessary actions to engage Ansa Environmental Services Ltd under the Council’s existing management contract to carry out a 12-month pilot roundabout sponsorship trial. 3. That authorisation be given to the Corporate Manager Commissioning Waste and Environmental Services, in consultation with the Chief Operating Officer and with the Director of Legal Services, and following a full and careful evaluation of the pilot project outcomes, to extend the scheme as part of the activities undertaken through the Council’s Management Contract for Waste and Environmental Services with Ansa .
Minutes: The Cabinet Member considered a report on a pilot scheme for sponsorship on selected roundabouts across the Cheshire East Borough.
Ansa Environmental Services Ltd delivered the streetscape and parks services on behalf of Cheshire East Council. Ansa had undertaken a market research exercise into potential revenue generation through highway roundabout sponsorship. Market testing had identified 48 potential business sponsors and it was proposed that a pilot scheme for roundabout sponsorship be undertaken.
RESOLVED:
1. That approval be given to the proposed pilot for roundabout sponsorship. 2. That the Corporate Manager Commissioning Waste and Environmental Services be authorised to take all necessary actions to engage Ansa Environmental Services Ltd under the Council’s existing management contract to carry out a 12-month pilot roundabout sponsorship trial. 3.
