Agenda and minutes

To provide an opportunity for Members and Officers to declare any personal and/or prejudicial interests and/or any disclosable pecuniary interests in any item on the agenda

In accordance with Procedure Rules Nos.11 and 35 a period of 10 minutes is allocated for members of the public to address the meeting on any matter relevant to the work of the meeting. Individual members of the public may speak for up to 5 minutes but the Chairman or person presiding will decide how the period of time allocated for public speaking will be apportioned where there are a number of speakers. Members of the public are not required to give notice to use this facility. However, as a matter of courtesy, a period of 24 hours’ notice is encouraged.

Members of the public wishing to ask a question at the meeting should provide at least three clear working days’ notice in writing and should include the question with that notice. This will enable an informed answer to be given.

To consider a report on consultation responses received and to determine whether to make Dog Control Orders for The Carrs, Wilmslow

Consideration was given to a report in relation to the recent consultation exercise on proposed ‘dog control orders’ regarding specified areas of land at The Carrs in Wilmslow.  The Cabinet Member was requested to consider the responses received and approve a number of Orders.

RESOLVED

That the following Orders be made:-

(1a) Fouling of Land by Dogs (The Carrs, Wilmslow) Order 2012 (as set out in Appendix A)

(1b) The Dogs (Specified Maximum) (The Carrs, Wilmslow) Order 2012 (as set out in Appendix B)

(1c) The Dogs on Leads (The Carrs, Wilmslow) Order 2012 (as set out within Appendix C)

(1d)The Dogs on Leads by Direction (The Carrs, Wilmslow) Order 2012 (as set out in Appendix D)

2   That the Borough Solicitor, or officer acting on her behalf, be authorised to make and bring into force the order(s) and to give notice thereof in accordance with statutory requirements.

3  That the level of fixed penalty notice in relation to offences under the proposed dog control orders will be £75.
