The Allocation of Community Grants pdf icon PDF 97 KB

To determine the award of community grants to voluntary and community organisations which meet the criteria approved by Cheshire East Council.

Decision:

That the Community Grants listed in the appendix be awarded, declined, or deferred as indicated.

Minutes:

The meeting was adjourned and reconvened to the slightly later time of 11.00am.

Consideration was given to the applications for community grants from Cheshire East Council.  The applications had been considered in line with the Council’s Policy for the Allocation of Community Grants and each application was outlined in the report, as was the reason for the recommendation in respect of that application.

The aim of the grants was to support small scale community projects that would improve the quality of life for local communities. Grants were awarded to organisations/projects/events which met the priorities in the Cheshire East Sustainable Community Strategy. All of the proposed grants could be funded from within existing budgets approved as part of the Council’s Budget for 2013/14.

RESOLVED

That the community grants listed in the Appendix attached to these minutes be awarded, declined or deferred as indicated.
