There were no declarations of interest.

In accordance with Procedure Rules Nos.11 and 35 a period of 10 minutes is allocated for members of the public to address the meeting on any matter relevant to the work of the meeting. Individual members of the public may speak for up to 5 minutes but the Chairman will decide how the period of time allocated for public speaking will be apportioned where there are a number of speakers. Members of the public are not required to give notice to use this facility. However, as a matter of courtesy, a period of 24 hours’ notice is encouraged.

Members of the public wishing to ask a question at the meeting should provide at least three clear working days’ notice in writing and should include the question with that notice. This will enable an informed answer to be given.

There were no members of the public present.

To seek authorisation for a National Non-Domestic Rate debt write-off in accordance with the Finance & Contract Procedure Rules.

Millvale Properties had been set up to hold the property referred to in the report but did not trade from the premises. Paddock House Properties Ltd traded from 15^th May 2008 to 21^st May 2010. £5,500 was paid by the company during its occupation. Paddock House Properties was placed into administration on 11^th January 1011 and into liquidation on 20^th July 2011. A claim had been made to the insolvency practitioner. If a dividend was paid then the appropriate amount would be written on.

RESOLVED

That approval be given for an amount of £60,419.50 to be written-off in respect of irrecoverable National Non-Domestic Rate.
