To consider the above application.

Note:  Councillor Roy Cartlidge (the Ward Councillor) attended the meeting and addressed the Committee on this matter.

The Committee considered a report regarding the above planning application and an update from Sport England which was summarised by the Southern Area Manager – Development Management.

RESOLVED –

That the application be APPROVED subject to the following conditions:

1          Standard

2          Plans

3          Tree protection

4          Work to stop if protected species found

5          Notwithstanding the details on the approved plan, no development shall take place on King George V playing fields unless and until a scheme showing the re-siting of the football pitch and the proposed cycle route, together with appropriate drainage where necessary ahs been submitted and approved in writing by the LPA.  The scheme shall be implemented in accordance with an agreed timescale.
