Interim Chief Executive
To consider the report of the Head of Human Resources & Organisational Development
Minutes:
The Committee considered a report on the engagement and extension of the services of the current Interim Chief Executive.
Council, at its meeting in April 2012, had
resolved that the Leader of the Council and the Chairman of the
Staffing Committee be authorised, in consultation with the three
Opposition Group Leaders and the Head of HR and Organisational
Development, to agree the arrangements for the appointment of the
Interim Chief Executive. This led to
the secondment of
Mr Kim Ryley until 30 November
2012. The Leader of the Council and
Chair of Staffing Committee were minded to extend his engagement
until March 2013 (on the terms set out in the report) and wished to
discuss this with the Staffing Committee.
RESOLVED:
That the decision of the Leader of the Council and Chairman of Staffing Committee, following consultation with the Opposition Group Leaders and the Head of HR and Organisational Development, to extend the engagement of the current Interim Chief Executive until 31 March 2013 be supported.
