Officer Decision Record: Dairy House Farm - Stabilisation & Repair

Decision Maker: Acting Executive Director of Place

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: Yes

Purpose:

The Economy and Growth Committee at its meeting on 26 January 2024 considered a report on the Handforth Garden Village Business Case and resolved at recommendation 2 to delegate authority to the Executive Director Place to carry out the necessary work to progress the scheme in advance of further decisions.

Dairy House is a Cheshire East Council owned Grade II Listed farm building, located south of the A555 at the eastern side of the Handforth Garden Village site. There are a number of farm buildings which due to their age and relationship to the house are curtilage listed.

A Listed Building Consent application (20/1942M) for stabilisation and repairs was approved in December 2022. The Planning Permission for Handforth Garden Village (19/0623M) requires that no development shall take place within 100m of the curtilage of Dairy House Farm prior to the completion of the stabilisation works approved under the Listed Building Consent.

Decision:

To enter into contract with Manchester & Cheshire Construction Co Ltd via a North West Construction Hub Framework to stabilise and repair the buildings at Dairy House Farm, Dairy House Lane, Handforth.
