Purpose:
Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 provides the power to make orders preventing the obstruction of streets “in all times of public processions, rejoicings, or illuminations, and in any case when the streets are thronged or liable to be obstructed.”
The decision will enable the annual Wybunbury Fig Pie Wake 2025 to take place in a safe manner and to enable the police and authorised marshals to manage the event.
Decision:
To make a temporary road closure order in relation to Main Road, Wybunbury under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 to close streets listed in the Schedule to the order to enable Wybunbury Fig Pie Wake 2025 to take place on Saturday 7th June 2025 between 14:30 – 17:00.
