Purpose:
Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 provides the power to make orders preventing the obstruction of streets “in all times of public processions, rejoicings, or illuminations, and in any case when the streets are thronged or liable to be obstructed.”
To enable the annual Alfresco Dining to take place in a safe manner and to enable the police and authorised marshals to manage the event.
Decision:
To make a temporary road closure and parking bay suspension order in relation to the below mentioned roads under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 to close streets listed in the Schedule to the order to enable the Alfresco Dining to take place on Sunday 20 July 2025.
The following roads will be closed from 09:30 to 22:30 on Sunday 20 July 2025
PRINCESS STREET, KNUTSFORD
From the junction of Princess Street to the junction of Church Hill
MINSHULL STREET, KNUTSFORD
For its full extent
The following roads will have a parking bay suspension from 09:30 to 22:30 on Sunday 20 July 2025
