Purpose:
Economy & Growth Committee at its meeting on 26.01.24 delegated authority to the Executive Director Place to carry out the necessary work to progress the Handforth Garden Village scheme in advance of further decisions. The report contained information about the Council’s strategy for delivering the Garden Village and its approach to negotiating with 3rd parties and generating capital receipts, which if shared would potentially harm the Council’s financial position.
Decision:
To commission Jacobs via the Council’s Highways Services Contract to provide two specific elements of work.
• ongoing project management of the initial primary infrastructure works (IPIW).
• specialist support leading to the award of the Design & Build contract via Scape Framework, an agreed design scope and the appointment of a designer.
The estimated cost of this is £107,695
