Approval of decision to launch live procurement exercise for the On-Street Residential Chargepoints (ORCS) Electric Vehicle project.

The procurement documentation has been developed by Council officers drawing on detailed input from the Strategic Infrastructure, Procurement, Legal, Assets, Highways and Car Parking teams. The documentation also draws on:

·         Relevant information and key aspects from the Council’s EV Charging Strategy including the preference for following a concession model for delivery and operation of chargepoints

·         Best practice and technical guidance from the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles and the funding administrator Energy Saving Trust

·         Feedback from soft market engagement conducted with Charge Point Operators (CPO)

·         Evaluation of various options for the contracting route
