The roundabout connecting Macon Way (A532), the Manchester Bridge and Hungerford Road is well known for flooding during rainy weather, this is not only damaging to vehicles and the surrounding area, but increases the risk of traffic accidents following vehicles driving through. Due to the sheer number of commuters and the connection to the town centre, simply closing the roundabout during adverse weather conditions is not a viable working solution. Could the council look at a more permanent solution to fix the onset flooding in the immediate area of the roundabout, reducing the volume of water that resides there whenever it rains.
