Consideration was given to the five year
Carbon Management Plan in order to achieve a 25% reduction in
CO2 emissions and energy consumption, and to reduce
energy costs.
RESOLVED
- That the 5 year
Carbon Management Plan be accepted and approved.
- That a commitment
be given to provide funding for the range of projects that will
deliver the anticipated carbon savings and enable the development
of additional practical projects beyond those currently
identified.
- That the Embedding
Strategy, and its development, be endorsed to enable the Council to
integrate into its decision making procedures the need to reduce
its carbon emissions, to endeavour to achieve sustainability for
all service delivery.
