The geographical boundary of
the Cheshire and Warrington Local Transport Body is consistent with
the geography of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise
Partnership. This covers the administrative areas of the three
unitary local authorities, these being,

Cheshire East Council
(CEC);
·
Cheshire West and Chester
Council (CWACC); and
·
Warrington Borough Council
(WBC).
Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership has six strategic
objectives that are critical to delivering its ambition on economic
growth and prosperity. Of these infrastructure and connectivity has
been assigned to the Cheshire and Warrington Local Transport Board
as its primary responsibility.
Delivering new and improved
infrastructure that secures a step change in connectivity will mean
the actions of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Transport Board
underpin the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership
priorities of:

Providing an excellent location to do
business;

Providing an excellent location to live and work;
and
·
Ensuring fully functioning sustainable transport
infrastructure
The Cheshire and Warrington
Local Transport Board’s primary responsibility ensures that
our transport investments support the growth conversation with
Government and the local plans and regeneration proposals of the
constituent local authorities. Based on the above, the single strategic
objective for Cheshire and Warrington Local Transport Board
is:
“To improve transport Infrastructure to secure significant
connectivity gains in the support of economic growth and
prosperity.”
