Appointment of an Interim Parish Clerk

The Sub-Committee is invited to interview candidates for the appointment of an Interim Parish Clerk for Macclesfield Parish Council.

Minutes:

The Sub-Committee interviewed candidates for the appointment of Interim Parish Clerk for Macclesfield Parish Council.

With reference to working arrangements, the Interim Parish Clerk appointment would be ratified at the Annual Parish Council meeting in May 2015; it was anticipated that the new parish council would agree to the continuation of the role until such time as a permanent Parish Clerk could be recruited.  The Interim Parish Clerk would be expected to work an average of ten hours per week on a flexible basis initially, and would be paid by ChALC who would then seek reimbursement from the new Parish Council once established.  The Interim Parish Clerk’s salary band was agreed and would be paid pro rata.

RESOLVED

That Pete Turner, currently the Deputy Town Clerk to Sandbach Town Council, be offered the position of Interim Clerk to Macclesfield Parish Council.
