19.	Appointment of Chair To appoint a Chair for the meeting. Minutes: RESOLVED: That Councillor Rob Moreton be appointed as Chair for the duration of the meeting.

Minutes: The Sub Committee considered a report for the application of a new premises licence for the premises known as The Barbridge Inn, Old Chester Road, Barbridge, Cheshire, CW5 6AY. The following attended the hearing and made representations in relation to the application: Tracey Billington – Responsible Authority Piers Warne – Applicant’s Solicitor Tony Riley – Applicant’s Representative After a full hearing of the application and in accordance with the rules of procedure, and after taking account of; The oral and written representations made by all parties to the hearing The licensing objective of the prevention of public nuisance The Secretary of State’s Guidance under the Licensing Act 2003 (Dec 2022) Cheshire East Council’s Statement of Licensing Policy s.177A of the Licensing Act 2003 The following course of action was agreed by the Sub Committee: RESOLVED: That the application for a new premises licence be GRANTED subject to the suggested conditions set out in the Operating Schedule accompanying the application as detailed below and as amended by the Applicant’s letter to the Licensing team dated 31.1.25 and any mandatory conditions that must be included on the licence in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003. Opening hours Sunday -Thursday 10:00-00:00 Friday & Saturday 23:00-01:00 Supply of alcohol (for consumption on and off the premises) Sunday – Thursday 10:00-12:30 Friday & Saturday 10:00-00:30 Recorded music – indoors Sunday – Thursday 10:00-23:00 Friday & Saturday 10:00-00:30 Live music – indoors Sunday – Saturday 10:00-23:00 Anything of a similar description to live or recorded music – indoors Sunday – Thursday 10:00-23:30 Friday & Saturday 10:00-00:30 Late night refreshment Sunday – Thursday 23:00-00:00 Friday & Saturday 23:00-01:00 Non-standard timings For licensable activities from the end of permitted hours in New Year’s Eve to 02:00 on New Year’s Day, with the premises closing at 02:30. An additional hour for Sunday preceding Bank Holiday Mondays, Boxing Day and Christmas Eve.
