To consider proposals to close Oakenclough Nursery.

Consideration was given to the proposal to close Oakenclough Day Nursery.
The Proposers and the Objectors attended the meeting and were questioned by representatives of the Governing Body and by Members of the Sub Committee.
RESOLVED
That the Local Authority continues to provide the day nursery whilst immediately seeking an alternative provider to run the Day Nursery at the earliest date.
In any event the Local Authority was to cease providing the nursery no later than 31 December 2009, and where an alternative provider has been found to cease to provide any subsidy to an alternative provider by that date.
