To consider the report of the Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development on the current position and on arrangements from 1 April 2010.

Cabinet considered a report on the current position in respect of the severance scheme within Cheshire East Council, and recommended arrangements to support workforce change with effect from 1^st April 2010.

RESOLVED

For the reasons set out in the report:

That

1.            the Council’s current voluntary severance terms, as detailed in Section 11.1 (i) to (iii) of the report, continue to apply from 1^st April 2010 to 31^st March 2011; and

2.            these provisions apply to all redundancies which occur for any reason during the period.
