We the undersigned petition the council to Provide a bus service which links Bunbury and surrounding villages into the established C84 bus route.
At present, limited public transport links leave many residents isolated and heavily reliant on private vehicles. A regular, reliable connection would provide significant benefits across the community.
Young people would gain greater independence, with improved access to education, employment opportunities, and social activities in nearby towns and cities.
Older residents would benefit from easier access to essential services, including grocery shopping, healthcare appointments, and community facilities.
In addition, improved connectivity would support local
businesses, reduce traffic congestion, and contribute to
environmental goals by encouraging the use of public transport over
private cars.
We believe this service would strengthen community cohesion,
improve quality of life, and ensure that residents of Bunbury and
nearby villages are not left behind in terms of accessible
transport infrastructure.
We urge the council to assess the feasibility of this proposal
and take steps toward implementing a practical and sustainable
solution.
