To appoint a Chair for the meeting.

That Councillor A Moran be appointed as Chair for the duration of the meeting.

The Sub Committee considered a report for an application for a new premises licence for Premier, 116 – 118 Park Lane, Macclesfield, SK11 6UA.

 

The following attended the hearing;

After a full hearing of the application and in accordance with the rules of procedure, the Sub-Committee determined, that after taking account of:

 

  1. The Applicant’s Application dated 17th December 2025. 

  

2.    The written representations made to the sub-committee by members of the public. 

 

3.    The 4 licensing objectives (namely the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance, and the protection of children from harm) and the steps appropriate to promote them. 

 

4.    The oral evidence of Mr Clarke, on behalf of the Applicant at the hearing. 

 

5.    The oral and written submissions from objectors. 

 

6.    The Licensing Act 2003 & Guidance thereto (Nov 2025). 

 

7.    Cheshire East Council’s Statement of Licensing Policy 

 

The following course of action was agreed:

 

RESOLVED:

 

That the application for a premises licence be GRANTED as set out in the Operating Schedule accompanying the application and any mandatory conditions that must be included on the licence in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003.
