The decision is to approve:

1. The installation of two toucan crossings on Manchester Road, Wilmslow in accordance with Section 23(1) of the Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The giving of public notice of the proposed toucan crossings in accordance with Section 23 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

 3. The installation of the vertical deflection (a raised table) on Dean Drive, Wilmslow in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980. 

4. The giving of public notice of the proposed raised table in accordance with Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980.

5. The introduction of shared use footways / cycleways and cycle tracks on Manchester Road, Wilmslow/Handforth in accordance with Section 65 and 66 of the Highways Act 1980.

The above will take place in accordance with the C24110-CEH-HGN-ZZ-DR-C-900001 Consultation plan.

Should no objections be received during the objection period, or where objections are made and subsequently withdrawn, the proposed pedestrian crossing, Raised Table, and shared use footways/cycleways and cycle tracks will be implemented.

The decision is to approve:

To appoint a Charge Point Operator (CPO) to the Contract For The Provision Of On-Street And Off Street Electric Vehicle Chargers And Associated Services. The contract is to provide charge points at a minimum of 180 locations across the borough. This is a concession contract part funded by a grant of £2,172,000 of Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Grant funding awarded to the Council by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles for this project. £2,132,000 will be used for the concession contract with the remaining £40,000 to be used for a trial of cross-footway cable channels to enable residential charging where no off-street parking is available.

As part of the Council’s new statutory duty though the simpler recycling legislation to provide a weekly food waste collection to all properties.

The Food Waste RCVs will be purchased outright and funded by existing capital budgets.

The procurement followed the Direct Award process as defined within The Procurement Partnership (TPPL) framework agreement for the Purchase of HGV, Specialist Vehicles, & Waste Supplies: Lot 5 - Specialist Vehicle Conversions up to 44T (2024/S 000-026689). The process for the direct award included objective criteria which ranked pre-registered suppliers in accordance with original evaluation criteria used in the formation of the framework agreement.

Purchase is funded through new burdens simpler recycling grant capital funding of XXX from the Fleet Electric Vehicle transition project budget to ensure best value though reduced operating costs and delivery of the Cheshire East Plan Commitment Unlocking Prosperity for all.
